Today is day zero. It’s not just a date on the calendar — it’s the starting point. This is where my journey begins: from a 35-year-old man who’s tired of his reflection in the mirror and gasping for air after climbing three flights of stairs, to someone who will inspire others with his transformation (or, well, maybe I’ll quit like always — you know, old habits die hard).
❓ Why did I decide to start?
Honestly? Because I’ve had enough of myself. How many times can I promise to start “on Monday”? I’m already a master of “157 Mondays.” Every time, I found great excuses: “well, it’s winter,” “summer’s too hot,” “spring means vitamin deficiency.” But the truth is, all these excuses are trash. If I want change, it’s time to roll up my sleeves and start before the couch swallows me whole.
🔥 What’s the goal?
- Lose excess weight (yeah, I weigh 137 kg — practically in the sumo weight class).
- Gain muscle, become stronger and more resilient (current endurance level: lifting the TV remote).
- Feel confident in my body (and not be afraid to wear a T-shirt that “should fit everyone”).
- Document every step in this blog to leave no way back.
👣 What am I doing right now?
My first task is to record and plan my point A and point B.
- Point A: I weighed myself, took measurements, and snapped photos. These are the “before” photos that I’m proud of now, but in a year, I’ll show my friends, saying, “Is that really me?”
- Point B: I’m setting goals: lose a couple of kilograms in a month, improve my endurance, and simply learn to move more than from the couch to the fridge.
💡 The idea behind this blog
This blog is my honest diary. There will be no Photoshop, no filters, no fake “wow effects.” Everything as it is: mistakes, falls, and getting back up again. If someone reads this and thinks, “Well, if he could do it, then I definitely can,” then the goal is achieved.
🙏 What do I expect from you?
Friends, don’t let me give up! Remind me of what I promised. Push me (virtually) if I start complaining. And if you have advice, please share it.
📅 Tomorrow I’ll share:
- How I analyzed my point A in detail: what needs to change in my diet, where my weak spots are, and how to address them.
- How I envision my point B: the specific results I want to achieve in the next month and how I’ll measure progress.
Today is day zero. I know it will be tough. I know there will be moments when I’ll want to quit. But, damn it, I can’t let myself (or you) down.
Everything lies ahead: victories, mistakes, and moments of weakness. But I’m determined to succeed. Because even the smallest step forward is better than standing still.
Let’s go? 🚀
